(團購)關於M52TU及M54 VANOS 內部漏油~ 2009/10/2 新增總成震動修裡包

Hello everyone,
My name is Rajaie Qubain. I am the owner and president of Beisan Systems, the company that provides the BMW vanos seals.
I am pleased that you and your club have received the seals product so well. These seals repair the vanos hydraulic actuation function. This repairs the variable valve timing system which provides many performance improvements. These include: improved power, particularly in the lower end (< 3k RPM), smoother transition throughout the RPM range, resolution of bogging then surging at 3k RPM, resolution of low end (< 3k RPM) hesitations, improved fuel consumption, improved takeoffs from stop, quieter stronger idle, etc. VVT (variable valve timing) allows the engine to perform at optimal valve timing throughout the RPM range.
I am a BMW owner, 528i 2000. A friend and I (both engineers) had vanos problems with our cars. We worked together to diagnose the vanos problem. We presented our findings on a BMW E39 forum, http://bimmer.roadfly.com/bmw/forums/e39/7494631-2.html. I spent one year pursuing BMW to address the problem. My communications with BMW are documented in the post. BMW mislead me by indicating they were going to address the problem. After my persistence and some time, they actually confessed they had not intension of addressing the problem, http://bimmer.roadfly.com/bmw/forums/e39/7613395-2.html. I spent the next two years reverse engineering and testing a solution. I worked with many seals experts and companies. I launched a company, website, repair procedure, vanos forum, etc. I have spent an enormous amount of time, effort, and money to address this problem. I continue to work to provide and support the products. I am working on introducing new products to address other vanos unit failures.
The vanos piston seals are a two ring seal configuration. The outer ring is a Teflon seal. It provides low a friction surface that facilitates the reciprocation of the vanos piston. The inner ring is a Viton elastomer O-ring. It energizes (supports) the Teflon ring to facilitate a tight contact of the Teflon seal with the cylinder wall. The material choice for these seal rings is important. BMW chose Buna for the O-ring material. Unfortunately this material is not compatible with the engine environment. Teflon seals have fillers that provide increased resistance to wear and deformation. The i6 single and double vanos units are aluminum and an appropriate filler choice is important to assure not damaging the soft aluminum but still providing resistance to wear for long term use.
Roy (Boxy) has asked me to explain the source of the seals. There seems to be a question of whether the seals are manufactured in Taiwan. They are not manufactured in Taiwan.
The O-rings are a standard part and are easily sourced. The Teflon seals are a special part and need to be custom manufactured. They are made to a European standard. The Teflon seals I provide have the material molded in Europe then shipped to the US where it is machined on specially programmed CNC machines to achieve the very precise seals dimensions. This manufacturing is performed by a European company that is well versed in the manufacturing of this type of seal.
I would like to thank Roy(Boxy) for all his work in organizing the group buys. This takes great effort and is a service to everyone.
Thanks to all the owners for the purchase of the vanos seals products. I hope the seals provide you great performance improvements that will last the life of your car.
In solidarity with my fellow BMW owners,
Rajaie
